Abstract
Óta is a stereo composition for modular synthesiser and urban field recordings. The work explores sonic textures, noise environments, and the rhythmic and harmonic qualities embedded within environmental sound. Through processes of isolation, magnification, distortion, and recomposition, the field recordings are transformed into an evolving textural soundscape that moves between abstraction and recognisable acoustic detail.
