    Abstract
In the light of the development of the Malaysian forestry sector in recent years, this article gives an overview of the implications of applying multiple – purpose forest management in Malaysia. As a result the article gives few fold recommendations on how, and under which conditions, multiple-forest management could be supportive of the Malaysia's development goals.
