Abstract
School nurses can play an important role to enable effective communication between professional bodies in cases of suspected fabricated, exaggerated or induced illness (FII) in children and young people. This once rare phenomenon is becoming increasingly apparent within the community setting and presents unique challenges within the safeguarding arena. This article aims to provide an overview of FII.
